In short: Cans of Alpha Lipid Lifeline® with an expiry date of 25 February 2029 carry the product information on an adhesive label applied to the can, instead of printed directly onto the can. This is a temporary packaging variation by the manufacturer, New Image International, affecting all markets worldwide for approximately three to four months. The product inside the can is unchanged.

How to identify an affected can
Cans involved in this variation have two identifying features:
- Expiry date of 25 February 2029
- Product details appear on an adhesive label wrapped around the can, rather than printed directly onto the can surface
The label carries the same product name, ingredients, nutritional information, directions and batch details as a printed can. Only the method of applying that information has changed.
Why New Image made this change
The variation is a deliberate, temporary decision by the manufacturer that serves three practical purposes:
- Using existing can inventory — cans already manufactured and held in stock are put to use rather than set aside
- Reducing storage requirements — freeing warehouse space and keeping supply flowing without interruption
- Minimising packaging waste — avoiding the disposal of usable cans
It’s a sustainability and supply-continuity measure, not a change of supplier, formula or manufacturing site.
Which markets and how long
The variation applies to every market New Image supplies, including Australia, New Zealand and export markets. It is expected to run for roughly three to four months from the time affected stock begins shipping. Once existing can inventory is used up, production returns to cans with the information printed directly on them.
During this period, customers ordering from Alipid may receive either version depending on the stock on hand at the time of dispatch.
Does the product itself change?
No. The contents of the can are identical: the same Alpha Lipid Lifeline® colostrum formulation, manufactured by New Image International in Auckland, New Zealand, to the same specification. Quality, shelf life, storage instructions and directions for use are unaffected, and the expiry date printed on the can remains the date to observe.
Is a labelled can still genuine?
Yes. Labelled cans are authentic New Image product supplied through official channels. Because counterfeit concerns are understandable whenever packaging changes, it’s worth restating how to be certain of authenticity: buy only from an authorised New Image distributor. Alpha Lipid Lifeline® is not stocked by Australian retail chains such as Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths or Costco, and heavily discounted listings on general marketplaces are a common warning sign.
